Barbara A. Scarola

Barbara A. Muscat ( Scarola) passed away peacefully on June 4, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.  She was 56.

Barbara was born on May 11, 1966 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Salvatore and Mary Scarola.

Barbara was a graduate of SUNY Oneonta and Pace University where she earned her degrees in History and Political Science. 

She taught history and coached volleyball  for over 20 years at Greenburg-North Castle UFSD until she retired in 2021. 

She had a love of the outdoors, she enjoyed kayaking, hiking, swimming, volleyball and even participated in Spartan Races and was even known to jump out of perfectly good airplanes. 

She is survived by her Loving Siblings Robert Scarola, Susan Scarola Misuraca and her husband Tony and Elizabeth Scarola Ricci and her husband Michael.  Loving Nieces and nephew Isabella, Olivia, Eva, and Michael.  She is also survived by numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and her beloved cat Chairman Meow.

She was predeceased by her father Salvatore in 2013 and her mother Mary Scarola, just 4 weeks ago.

Friends may call on Friday June 10, 2022 from 5-8pm at Clinton Funeral Home, 21 Parrott Street, Cold Spring.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 11, 2022 at 10:00am Our Lady of Loretto Church, 24 Fair Street, Cold Spring.  .
