Darrin Santos of Cold Spring passed away suddenly on April 4, 2020 at NYP Hudson Valley Hospital He was 50.
Born on October 4, 1969 in Peekskill, NY to Michael A. Santos and Clauda Theriault.
Darrin was a Proud US Veteran of The United States Navy serving his county from 1989-1993. He was a devoted member of Our Lady of Loretto Church in Cold Spring.
He was the Transportation Supervisor for NYP Hospital in White Plains.
An Avid Dallas Cowboys Fan, He loved teaching his children when they were young on how to play sports and then went on to coach them in CYO basketball and little league baseball. Once they started playing High School Athletics, he would be one of their most avid fans and probably the loudest dad's chearing them on.
Darrin was our hero; he used to transport doctors from White Plains to New York City hospitals during Covid 19. He used to also make deliveries to various other hospitals.
He is survived by his devoted wife Melissa Castro-Santos of Cold Spring Loving father to Darrin M. Santos Jr, Daniel N. Santos, Mikayla J. Santos. His loving father Michael Santos, His Loving Mother Clauda Theriault and her husband Dave Rosenthal, His Loving Siblings Joseph Montalto and his wife Debbie, Claudine Beachak and her husband Matthew, and Andrea Bunker and her husband Scott.
Darrin was predeceased by his step mother Helen Santos in 2014.
Due to the current health crisis funeral services will be private for immediate family only under the direction of Clinton Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service will be held in the future at Our Lady of Loretto Church for everyone.
