AND

David E. Schloer, born on June 16, 1951, in Massena, NY, passed away peacefully at home on February 11, 2026.

Palma and Dave were happily married for 44 years. Their early years in the Hudson Valley shaped a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors and close-knit community living. Throughout their lives, they found joy and fulfillment in spending time with family and friends, especially during boating and camping trips that created cherished memories for all who joined them.

They are lovingly remembered by her son Joseph Morabito; (ChrisAnn) their granddaughters Taylor Morabito and Shaye Morabito; her daughter Victoria Winterberg; (Jeffrey), her brother Roger J. Chirico, Jr.; his brother Charles “Billy” Schloer Jr.; (Lucy), and his sister Bonnie Elliot; (Robert), in addition to many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in their hearts.

David and Palma were preceded in death by their daughter Aubrie Marie Schloer; her sister Jean Ruh; her brothers James M. Chirico; Victor Chirico; Michael Chirico; his sisters, Edna Reed and Nancy Wilson and their grandnephew Roger J. Chirico, III.

Their legacy lives on through the many lives they touched with their warmth, presence and sense of humor. May their memory bring comfort to those who knew them.

A memorial and celebration of life will occur this spring with a date and location announced once determined.
