Deborah Flaherty

Deborah Mary Flaherty, a lifelong resident of the area passed away on May 8, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.  She was 68.

Born on January 1, 1955 in Cold Spring, New York.

She graduated with her bachelors from Mount Saint Mary’s College and masters from SUNY New Paltz with her degree in Education.  She worked for 38 years for the Lakeland School District.

She was an avid gardener and bird watcher. She enjoyed vacationing with her family and grandchildren. Above all else, she loved being a grandmother!

Debbie is survived by her loving children Meghan Mekeel and her husband Kenneth, Erin Flaherty, William M. Flaherty Jr, Morgan Flaherty and her boyfriend Nicholas Abato. Her cherished grandchildren Hunter and Harper Mekeel. Her Dear Sister Judy Szirmay survives.  She was predeceased by her father-Thomas Harris, her mother-Gertrude Harris, her birth father- David Donnelly, husband- William Flaherty Sr, and her brother- Michael Donnelly.

Friends may call on Monday May 15, 2023 from 5-8pm at Clinton Funeral Home, 21 Parrott St, Cold Spring.  A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday May 16, 2023 at 11:00am at Cold Spring Cemetery
