Dorothy A. Gordon

Dorothy A. Gordon, 99 of Cold Spring passed away peacefully on July 23, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. 

Born on March 20, 1923 in New York City to the late Richard and Catherine Fahey Hughes. 

Dorothy was a very independent woman, working in New York City for Dukes Moving and Express while living in the Bronx for 85 years.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  While she was in the Bronx, she would often visit the “country” where she visited her 2 daughters and families. 

She will be dearly missed by her loving daughters Eileen Kearns and her husband Billy and Catherine McDermott and her husband Tommy both of Cold Spring.  Her cherished grandchildren Leanne Kearns, John Kearns, Laura Kearns, Caelan McDermott and Ciara McDermott. 

Dorothy was predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday July 28, 2022  at Saint Barnabas Church, 409 East 241, Bronx, New York 10470.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Queens, New York
