Earl VanTassel a lifelong resident of Cold Spring passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026 at the Kaplan Family Hospice. He was 63.

Born on April 17, 1963 in Poughkeepsie to Henry Earl VanTassel and Jacqueline Cooper.

Earl grew up in Cold Spring with his father and mother Gloria, where he attended and graduated from Haldane Schools. He loved the outdoors, he was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping.

He was currently working for the Dutchess Golf Course.

Earl is survived by his mother Gloria VanTassel, his children Katie Rodriguez, Jenny Lee Jamieson-VanTassel and Joshua E. Jamieson VanTassel, his siblings Wanda DeMilio, Cindy Oberle, Richard Wayne VanTassel, Eric VanTassel and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his grandchildren and stepson Justin Jamieson and biological mother Jacquiline Cooper.

Earl was predeceased by his father Henry Earl VanTassel.
