Gregory A. Angelo

December 19, 1946 — December 19, 2025

Cold Spring

Gregory Alfred Angelo, a fifty year resident of Cold Spring, past away on his seventy-ninth birthday on December 19,2025.

Gregory was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Denise, his children Robert (Sylvia) Angelo, Nicholas (Heather) Angelo. Mary (Damon Emlinger) Angelo, by his grandchildren Robert, Maryrose, Guliana, Jeffrey, Paxton and Luca, by his brothers Jeffrey (Eileen) Angelo and Kenneth (Grace) Angelo, by his nieces Carolyn, Alyson and Dana, and by his nephew Christopher.

Born in the Bronx to the late Alfred and Margaret Angelo, Gregory and his wife, Denise moved to Cold Spring in January 1975 with their then three-year-old son Robbie. They loved the warm, safe atmosphere of this small village as well as its proximity to New York City where they had grown up and where, at the time, many of their family still lived. Here they found great neighbors and made wonderful friendships.

Gregory retired from the James J. Peters Veterans Hospital in the Kingsbridge area of the Bronx in November of 2024 where he was Chief Financial Officer. He respected and cared for his co-workers who were a second family to him, making his work a positive part of his life.

Gregory will be missed by his family and by all who knew him well. His family sends their sincere thanks to all who have helped him during his year-long illness both in the hospital and at home and a special thanks to his nurse, Carol and to Dr. Pan and his staff at Columbia.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Clinton Funeral Home- Cold Spring.
