John W. Downs

John W. Downs of Torrington CT, passed away on June 16, 2022 in Cold Spring.  He was 68.

Born on January 5, 1954 in Saint Louis, Missouri to the late William Mayo Downs and Grace Ruth Arft Downs. 

John was a welder by trade until he retired in 2018.  He was a loving husband who traveled around the country while Bobbie was a traveling nurse.

He was a lover of animals and thoroughly enjoyed Civil War history. 

He is survived by his devoted wife  Bobbie Mackay, Loving Children Shawn W. Downs and Nicole Jennings.  Cherished grandchildren Lauren, Abbey Grace and Joseph Jennings.  His dear sister Mary Ann Langston and numerous nieces and nephews. His Father in Law Joseph R. Mackay and his Sister and Brother in law Al and Candy Zgolinski

Friends may call on Wednesday June 22, 2022 from 12-1:30pm at Clinton Funeral Home, 21 Parrott Street, Cold Spring.  Interment will be held at 2pm at Cold Spring Cemetery.
