Joseph Freda Sr.

Joseph W. Freda Sr., of Garrison passed away peacefully on January 8, 2022 at home. He was 85.

Born on July 9, 1936 in Astoria, New York to the late Charles A. Freda and Marie Guttilla Freda.

Joseph went to Cardinal Farley Military Academy in Rhinebeck and went on to get his degree from Fordham University. He owned Pilgrim Promotions for many years prior to his retirement.  He had a passion for antique cars, both driving them and restoring them. He had his private pilots license and enjoyed spending time with his beloved family.

Joseph is survived by his devoted Wife Dorothy Eleanor Freda whom he was married to for 43 years.

Loving Children Francis Freda and his wife Doreen, Maria Martello and her husband Joseph, Joseph W. Freda, Jr. and his wife Kelly, Phillip J. Freda, and Theresa Nicolay and her husband Paul.

Step Children include Rhonni Malino and her husband Harvey and Lauraine Harrison.

Cherished Grandchildren Jaclyn, Gregory, Kristen, Rachel, Alexandra, Joseph, Jesse, Elizabeth, Samantha, Joshua, Amanda, Harry, Ashleigh, Abby, Lindsey, Jessica, Dylan, Gideon, and Morgan.

Great-grandchildren Brooks, Cooper, Saylor, Madelyn, Sabrina, Jeremy, Graham, Greta, Marshal, Shane, Sebastian, and Natasha.

Joseph was predeceased by his brother Charles A. Freda, Jr. and grandson Michael Martello.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday January 15, 2022 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 24 Fair Street, Cold Spring .  Entombment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.

Due to the increase in COVID 19 Face coverings will be required in church.
