Maria G. Scanga

Maria G. Scanga of Wappingers Falls passed away on January 19, 2026 at her home. She was 79 years old.

Born on November 28, 1946 in Lago, Italy to the late Giovanni and Antonietta Scanga.

Maria married the love of her life Guiseppe Scanga on December 18, 1965 in Italy and recently celebrated 60 years of marriage.

She enjoyed Cooking for her family, sewing and crocheting.

Maria is survived by her devoted husband Giuseppe Scanga, Loving Children Flora Scanga, and Frank and his wife Karen Scanga Cherished grandchildren Joseph and Adrianna Scanga. Her brothers Nicola and Antonio Scanga, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter Sonia Scanga in 1994 and her siblings Angelina Scanga, Guiseppe “Pino” Scanga, Francesco Scanga and Carmelo “Ugo” Scanga.
