Mary Scarola

Mary E. Scarola, Formerly of Cold Spring, NY and Clermont, Florida passed away on May 2, 2022 at her home.

Born on December 31, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York and raised by loving parents late Joseph and Mary Doran Taylor.

Mary graduated from St. Francis Xavier Academy High School in 1957, Saint Catherine Hospital School of Nursing in 1962 as a Registered Nurse, and then went on to Pace University -  obtaining her Bachelors of Science and Masters Degree.  She was an active Registered Nurse from 1962 until her passing.  Mary worked for Butterfield Hospital in Cold Spring, The CDC in New York City during the AIDS crisis and Montrose VA until her retirement when she and her beloved Salvatore retired  to Clermont, Florida.

Mary is survived by her loving children, Robert Scarola, Barbara Scarola, Susan Misuraca and her husband Tony, and Elizabeth Ricci and her husband Michael.  Cherished grandchildren Isabella, Olivia, Eva and Michael Ricci.  Her dear brother Frank Taylor and her best friend Carol DeVita.  Mary was predeceased by her loving husband Salvatore in 2013, and her brother Joseph Taylor.

Friends may call on Thursday May 5, 2022, from 5-8pm at Clinton Funeral Home, 21 Parrott Street, Cold Spring .  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 6, 2022, at 11:00am at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 24 Fair Street, Cold Spring .  Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery at a later date.
