Philip S. Zaleski, age 87 died on September 6, 2022. 

Philip was born March 27, 1935 in Southampton, Long Island, New York. He attended Southampton High School and after graduation, he joined the U.S. Army from 1953 until 1955.

During his service, Philip toured Europe competing on the U.S. Army rifle team. He received recognition for the highest physical fitness test scores out of the 240 men in his basic training company.

After honorable discharge, Philip attended and graduated from SUNY Farmingdale, N.Y. in 1958. In 1960, Philip graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree.

In 1961, Philip married the love of his life, Millicent Ann Guldi, and moved to New Paltz, N.Y.

Shortly thereafter, they relocated to Dutchess County, N.Y., where he resided for the rest of his life. Philip was a special agent with North Western Mutual Life Insurance Company, Poughkeepsie, N. Y., until he retired in 1996.

Philip lived by his belief "Family First" and is survived by his son, Christopher S. Zaleski, and daughter-in-law, Rita Zaleski, of Wappingers Falls, N. Y., daughter, Megan Z. Culver and her husband Michael Culver, plus Megan's three children, Zoe, Maxwell, and Kazimir Harris of Wappingers Falls, N.Y. Philip is also survived by his sister’s two children, James V. Kelly, Jr., Chadds Ford, P.A.., and Mark Kelly, Alexandria, V.A. Also, Philip is survived by his brother's

two children, John Zaleski, Southampton, N.Y., and Barbara Zaleski Holmes, Ocala, Florida, and his step-brother, Martin Duszynski, Jr., Texas.

Philip was sadly predeceased by his beloved wife of 53 years on November 11, 2014 due to Alzheimer's. Also predeceased by his mother, Francis Zaleski-Duszynski, father, Stephen Zaleski, step-father, Martin Duszynski, and brother, Joseph Zaleski, all of Southampton, N. Y. and sister Mary Kelly of Annandale, V.A.

His interests were hunting, fishing, hiking, cooking, vegetable gardening, and the true love of people.

There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of Clinton Funeral Home,21 Parrott Street, Cold Spring, N.Y. 10516. Philip's final wishes will be carried out lovingly by his immediate family.
