It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, Bob Conboy. Bob passed away unexpectedly on September 27th.

Nothing brought Bob greater joy than his beloved Wife Ann, his Daughter, Sarah & her Husband Tom Hayes, his Son Bobby and his two amazing Grandsons, Brandon and Dylan. They will all miss him dearly.

Bob met Ann during their high school years growing up in North Babylon, NY. They were married 56 years at the time of his death. After college, Bob became a teacher at Yorktown High School where he made lifelong friends and inspired countless students. He ended his career in education as the Assistant Superintendent for Business of the Edgemont Union Free School District in Scarsdale, NY. Bob and Ann settled in Garrison in 1975 and have called Philipstown home since that day.

While he loved his career in education, his true passion was gardening. Once he retired, he took over and revitalized the San Damiano Farm at Graymoor. Over the span of 20+ years, he touched countless lives by simply sharing his love of plants and people. He used his love of gardening as horticultural therapy to help the guys he mentored as a tool to survive their addictions. He was very proud of all ‘his guys’ that had the courage to show up and get through another day.

Bob is now reunited with his dear Mother and Father, Lorraine and Joe Conboy. He will be sorely missed by his Brother Dennis & Wife Anne Marie, his Brother Billy & Wife Gale, His Sister-in-law Jan & Husband Bob and his Sister-in-law Jane.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his honor to St. Christopher’s Inn at Graymoor in Garrison, NY.

A Funeral Service will be held at Graymoor at a date and time to be announced.
