Scott James Wilcha of Stormville passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, at Sloan Kettering Hospital. He was 58.
He was born on July 17, 1967, to the Late Gary P. Wilcha.
Scott grew up in Millbrook and graduated from Millbrook High School in 1986. He was a very talented builder and carpenter his entire life and could be found all hours of the day and night looking at blue prints, making phone calls and sending emails. He had a tremendous work ethic and took pride in what he produced.
Scott had a passion for boating, snowmobiling, riding dirt bikes, and riding his quad. He loved his toys and enjoyed these hobbies with his family and dear friends. His wife and sons have cherished and lasting memories of every summer on the boat. While boating, he loved playing bartender and was known for his famous mudslides. He even had the nickname at one point, Blender Boy.
In 1994 Scott met Kelly DiBlanca and in 1998 married her at St. Joseph’s Church in New Paltz.
Scott is survived by his devoted wife Kelly and his loving children, Matthew and James. He is also survived by his dear Stepmother, Allison “Alby” Wilcha, loving brothers Peter Wilcha, and Dana Wilcha and his wife Erin, and Stepbrother Donald Robison. Scott is also survived by beloved aunts and uncles and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
He was predeceased by his father Gary Wilcha on October 20, 2020.
Friends may call on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 4-7P.M. at Clinton Funeral Home, 21 Parrott Street, Cold Spring. A Celebration of Scott's life will be held at 7 P.M. on Friday. The burial will be private.
