Obituary

Thomas E. Dillon, age 83, of Naples, FL, died on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at NCH Baker Hospital in Naples.


Born in Cold Spring, NY on October 4, 1942 he was the son of the late Bernard J. And Mary E. (Ciccarelli) Dillon. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Margaret E. Dillon.


Tom resided in Cold Spring for over 54 years before moving to Naples in 1997. A graduate of Haldane High School (Class of 1960), Tom loved playing sports throughout high school. He played in the Philipstown Softball League for 30 years with many treasured friends and family members. Tom was a proud Army National Guardsman for six years and enjoyed a 30-year career with IBM. In Naples, Tom volunteered at St. Ann School and later became an employee of the Diocese of Venice in Florida, first working at St. Ann School and later as part of the maintenance team at St. William Catholic Church.


Survivors also include his daughter, Casey E. (Timothy) Dillon Houlton of Wallingford, CT; son, James E. (Devon) Dillon of Salem, MA; two brothers, Bernard F. (Joan Tomlin) Dillon of Beacon, NY, Daniel R. (Catherine) Dillon of Cold Spring, NY; one sister, Bernice Pega of Hopewell Junction, NY; and grandson, Dillon Thomas Houlton of Wallingford, CT. Many nieces and nephews also survive.


He was also predeceased by two sisters, Rose Marie Nobile and Marcia DiCastro; three brothers-in-law, Charles Nobile, Vincent DiCastro, and Edward James Pega; and nephew, Andrew Dillon.


Visitation will be from 4:00pm-8:00pm on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Clinton Funeral Home, 21 Parrott St, Cold Spring, NY 10516.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 24 Fair St, Cold Spring, NY 10516, followed by interment at Cold Spring Cemetery, 36 Peekskill Rd, Cold Spring, NY 10516.
