Walter “Jack” Allen a life long resident of Cold Spring passed away on August 24, 2025 at Taconic Nursing and Rehab. He was 86.

Born on June 1, 1939 in Cold Spring to the late Jerome Allen Sr and Helen Atkinson.

Jack was a well known builder in Cold Spring and enjoyed Hunting, Fishing and a game of golf.

Jack took much pleasure in teaching his grandsons how to hunt and fish and was overjoyed that he was with his grandson Christopher when he got his first deer.

Jack Was a veteran of The United States Army serving in Germany from 1958-1960

On November 18, 1962 at Our Lady of Loretto Church he married Louise Nobile.

Jack is survived by his loving Children Jack Allen Jr and his wife Kristen, and Shelly Pidala and her husband Jimmy. Cherished grandchildren Makenzie Eyler and her husband Matthew, Jimmy Pidala Jr, Jack Allen, Christopher Pidala and his wife Hannah. Great Grandchildren Ella, Sadie and Calvin. One brother Gordon Allen also survives Jack.

Jack was predeceased by his wife Louise on January 15, 2025 and his Brother Jerry Allen and a sister Elizabeth Ann Lyons.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday August 30, 2025 at 11:00am at Cold Spring Cemetery, Cold Spring. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Clinton Funeral Home- Cold Spring.
