John Egan

March 27, 1945 — October 21, 2021

John F. Egan of Garrison passed away peacefully on October 21, 2021.  He was 76.

Born on March 27, 1945 in the Bronx, to the late John and Helen Langer Egan.

John grew up in the Bronx and after high school enrolled at New York Institute of Technology , then  he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served in the 69th Tech Unit in Germany.  After being honorably discharged  from the Air Force he went to work for AT&T  from December 1968 until he retired  in 1999 as a supervisor of access network management process.  After retirement he went to work as a letter carrier for the Garrison Post Office, Home Depot and Royal Coach/Bauman Bus Company in Ossining prior to getting cancer.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 506 in Ossining, he enjoyed traveling and fishing.

On April 19, 1997 he married Maryann Perry Antonini  in Peekskill.

John is survived by his beloved wife Maryann Egan , Loving daughter Elizabeth Egan and Loving Step Son Anthony Antonini.  His siblings Jimmy and William Egan.  His dear mother-in-law Evelyn M. Perry, sister in laws Joan Pratt, Rhonda O’Briskie and her companion Ray Cook and his brother & sister in law Joseph and Terry Perry and several nieces and nephews.

John was predeceased by his parents and his siblings Eddie Egan and Rosemarie Egan.

Friends may call on Sunday October 24, 2021 from  1-4pm at Clinton Funeral Home, 21 Parrott Street, Cold Spring.  A Funeral Service will be held at 3:45pm at the funeral home on Sunday.  Burial will be private.
